SAFI , Italian manufacturer of mast climbing platforms, material hoists, transport platforms and hoists is specialized in the creation of customized solutions to meet the largest demands of restoration and construction in general , and reached international levels of excellence installing its machines in the most prestigious places in the world : St. Peter's Basilica in Rome, the mosque of Abu Dhabi, the district of La Défense in Paris or the Parthenon in Athens, just to name a few. In 2007, as a last prestigious work, SAFI entered into a contract with the Management of the famous Vasa Museum in Stockholm, for the realization of a mobile platform intended to routine maintenance and repairs of the ancient Vasa warship, the only preserved vessel of the 17Th century in the world. This equipment, unique among this type of products, embodies all the previous experiences of the company and combines building advanced solutions (some even patented) including the possibility to translate horizontally and move the working plan closer to the vessel during the most delicate cleaning procedures. Such a distinctive place has also forced the manufacturer to produce a machine visually integrated to the context of the museum, meeting the multiple demands of the Management in this regard. The installation , accomplished by qualified SAFI personnel, took place in November 2007 and did not involve the closing of the museum nor caused limitations to visitors. Once again, an intervention with high technical content, re-interpreted with the creativity and experience of this company.
