Chernobyl Nuclear Reactor – Ukraine
Safi Group Srl, together with some of the world's leading manufacturers, successfully contributed to the realisation of the Chernobyl New Safe Confinement project.
- Special double-deck (floor) machines to cover the reactor with special panels and lead foil to insulate the external environment from nuclear radioactivity.
- Installation of a special lift (lift for high nuclear risk environments) RADIATION PROOF ELEVATOR with radiation shielding or lead foil. The lift is designed to be insulated with lead foil to allow users to move around the reactor safely and also to move radioactive material to store it inside the special warehouses inside the reactor. The lift has a lifting capacity of 4000 kg with double columns, a speed of 40 m/m, a total height of 45 metres, 3 stops, and is equipped with high-tech safety systems.
