Safi at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2023 Las Vegas 14-18 March
One of our trade fair stops this year is CONEXPO-CON/AGG in Las Vegas (USA) from 14 to 18 March 2023, undoubtedly the most important event (every three years) dedicated to the world of construction.
Fast and safe transportation for workers and equipment to work sites can really make a big difference given the high temperatures and heavy air due to hazardous gases, dust or flammable liquids in some work areas.
Construction Machinery; Building and construction materials such as asphalt, aggregates, concrete, earth moving, lifting, mining, utilities… are among the topics covered by this important trade show for North America.
We, the SAFI GROUP, have been supplying equipment of all kinds to the construction and restoration industry for 60 years, helping to write the history of modern engineering and architecture from the second half of the 1900s to the present day.
Although we call ourselves an ‘engineering industry’, thanks to our experience, we have always offered advice and solutions to our customers/users in these sectors, often studying and adapting our machines to the needs of the individual construction site and/or customer. And it is thanks to this approach that we have been able to ‘touch’ many major works worldwide.
Some of the many applications of our machines:
- Eurotunnel, on the English Channel, where our first TST500s were supplied to waterproof the tunnel;
- Historical monuments of ancient civilisations such as the Colosseum in Rome and the Parthenon in Athens, where work platforms were used to assist with various restorations;
- Auteur structures such as the Science Museum in Valencia (Calatrava) and the Cité Universitarie in Lyon (Renzo Piano), with working platforms specially modified to accommodate the architectural features designed by the architects;
- Man-made marks, such as in the New Safe Confinement of reactor No. 4 at Chernobyl (AU), built by the NOVARKA consortium, where we installed two plumbed lifts to shield the occupants from the obvious radiological risk;
- Chemical and petroleum products refining plants, where we installed permanent lifts for work in ATEX explosive atmospheres;
- Defence industry, with high-capacity and ‘autonomous’ permanent lifts and elevators; …and many more…
